  1. Choose your home state. If no data is available for your state, select another.
  2. Choose “All violent crimes”
  3. Choose years between 2009- 2019
  4. Analyze the data.
  5. View the demographics information for violent crime offender and victim, if available.
  6. Download a copy of the tables you prefer to analyze.
  7. Save your file(s) to practice building a data table.

Next, explain what a sociologist might do with this data. What did you discover by researching statistics about deviant behavior in your home state?
